London, 9 June 2026: CFP Energy, a specialist in carbon, environmental, biofuels and wholesale energy markets, today announces the opening of a new office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The opening of the new office marks an important milestone in CFP Energy's European growth strategy, reinforcing its presence across France, the Benelux region and Continental Europe.
The Amsterdam launch follows a period of strong momentum for CFP Energy, including the first-ever ETS2 trade with an end client, the first-day trade on the new EEX UK emissions allowance market, accelerating growth in physical and paper biofuels, recognition at the Environmental Market Rankings 2026, and continued expansion of the senior leadership team.
Amsterdam will serve as a strategic hub for CFP Energy's activities across carbon, environmental products, biofuels, gas, power and structured energy solutions. The location positions the Group closer to clients in one of Europe's most important energy and environmental commodity markets.
The Netherlands plays a central role in European gas and power trading and is a leading global hub for biofuels.
The expansion builds on CFP Energy's established UK capabilities, including its physical and financial wholesale supply business through Brook Green Supply, and its well-established biofuels supply operations in France. The Group’s ambition is to develop a broader, integrated platform across European energy and environmental markets.
Robbert Sijbrandij, Chief Commercial Officer of CFP Energy, said:
"Amsterdam is one of Europe's leading financial and commodities trading centres, and a natural next step as we scale our commercial platform. The Netherlands sits at the heart of the European energy transition and gives us significant room to grow, particularly in wholesale gas and power, where we intend to build on the success of our UK supply business, and in biofuels, where Amsterdam's status as a global trading hub fits directly with our expanding physical and paper activity. This office reflects both the ambition and the pace of CFP Energy's growth."
Daniel Goldstein, Managing Director and Head of CFP Energy, said:
"Opening in Amsterdam is a clear marker of the trajectory CFP Energy is on. Europe's carbon, environmental and energy markets are evolving rapidly, and our clients increasingly want a partner that can deliver across the full value chain, from compliance and environmental commodities through to biofuels, gas, power and structured energy solutions.”
"With our UK supply business firmly established, an expanded leadership team in place and further strategic developments ahead, we are well-positioned to accelerate our growth across the Continent."
The Amsterdam office will support CFP Energy's continued investment in specialist market expertise, client coverage and cross-product solutions as the Group expands its European footprint.
